A few simple steps will keep your balloons looking their best for as long as possible:

• Keep out of direct sunlight and heat — this is the biggest factor in the UAE. Sunlight and high temperatures cause balloons to expand, fade and weaken, and can even cause them to burst. Always display your setup indoors in a shaded spot, well away from windows that catch the afternoon sun.
• Avoid strong air conditioning and cold rooms — chilled air makes the helium inside contract, so balloons may look like they're sagging or sinking. This is usually temporary, and they'll lift again as the room returns to a comfortable temperature.
• Keep clear of sharp edges and textured surfaces — corners, spotlights, exposed nails and textured or rough ceilings can catch and nick balloons. Give your setup a little space from anything that could snag it.
• Handle gently and avoid unnecessary moving — once your balloons are in place, try not to press, rub or shift them around more than needed. The less they're handled, the longer they'll stay looking flawless.
• Display in a cool, shaded indoor space — this is the single best thing you can do. A comfortable indoor environment, out of direct sun and away from extreme temperatures, will keep your setup looking beautiful throughout your celebration.

As a guide, foil and number balloons stay looking their best for several days, while latex balloons are at their best for a shorter window. Once your setup is with you, how long it lasts comes down to the environment it's kept in.
